Halloween Make Up: Courtesy of Lil' Missy

Hey everyone!

Halloween and Deepavali came and went too quickly. Nevertheless, I hope all of you had awesome celebrations with lots of scrumptious food, drinks, and good company! I certainly did - I've been eating waaayyyy too much! High time for a detox and diet! Eeeek!!

I'd like to share with you a few Halloween make up courtesy of Lil' Missy. That would be ME! ;)

These photos were taken at The Pound Bar in Taman Tun, Malaysia (look it up on Facebook!). It's a great place with good food and drinks, friendly staff, AND a very nice, cosy ambience! To top it off, it has a British pool table - all the more reason to like the place! You should check it out if you've not been there yet! :)

  • The "models" for letting me do your make up and the touching up! It was fun! :D
  • Jason Victor for the brilliant shots you took! :)

Halloween Make Up: Angel's Nightmare

Hey everyone!

I'm almost nearing the end of my Halloween series of make up and nails for the year.

I'd like to suggest this final Halloween make up to you: Angel's Nightmare. I started working on this make up with a different image in my head and somehow ended up with this instead. It worked out rather well, though!

This entire look takes about 30 minutes to complete and there's no need for blusher because you actually want to look pale and ghostly. ;)

Halloween Make Up: Midnight Kisses

Hey everyone!

Only FIVE days left until Halloween!! *howls*

For those of you who have been out looking for OR who are going to shop for black lipstick specifically for Halloween, S-T-O-P

Here's a VERY SIMPLE TIP for you to achieve the sought-after goth lips if you don't have a black lipstick.

Use a black, pencil eyeliner instead. TA DA! :D

I'm sure that most of you already have black pencil eyeliners and, unless you already own a black lipstick, it saves you money from an (possibly) unnecessary purchase.

Let's get started. Get up, reach into your make-up stash, and pick up that black eyeliner of yours.

Now, use the eyeliner like you would with a lipliner.

Steps

1. Sharpen your eyeliner enough so that it's not blunt. If it's too sharp, it may break.

2. Wear a thin coat of lip balm to moisturise your lips. Trust me, this helps - it'll be easier to apply the eyeliner.

3. Line your upper and lower lips with the eyeliner.

4. Fill in your lips.

5. Use a clear lipgloss if you'd like to achieve a more dramatic look; if you'd prefer your lips to look matte, don't apply lipgloss.

I really like using this eyeliner because it's very black on my skin AND it's easy to apply.

You may need to touch up your lips after you drink and eat meals, so have your eyeliner handy.

Don't just take my word for it. Try this SUPER EASY tip for yourself! If you're at home now and don't have anything else to do, try it! ;)

Let me know how it goes. As always, I'd love to hear from you. Have fun! :)

Halloween Make Up: Leopard-Print Eyes

Hey everyone!

If you've noticed my series of Halloween make up, you'll see that I've been experimenting with mostly eye make up. I figured that most of us may want to dress up for Halloween and not spend (literally) hours painting our faces

It's bad enough we have to figure out what make up to wear, how to do our hair, which costumes to wear, and which shoes to match with our costumes! Arrrgghhhh! So many things to do, so little time to do them!!

So this is why I've been giving you simple and relatively easy suggestions for make up. :D

Alright then. Let's get started, shall we?

This is one of my favourite Halloween make-up looks: Leopard-Print Eyes

Yes, I have a liking for leopard-print designs. So what, huh? :p

This print goes well with neutral or (better yet) bold, light colours because the emphasis would be on your beautiful eyes, AND it gives the "WOW!" and "dayum!" effect. ;)

Depending on how large your eyes are, set aside 10 - 15 minutes to do the effect for each eye.

So instead of going to make-up counters and spending your cash for someone else to do your make up, try these looks at home and save your money!

Halloween Make Up: Spider Web Eyes

Hey everyone!

This is eye make-up look numero dos: Spider Web Eyes

It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to draw the effect for each eye depending on how stable your hand is. Needless to say, the more shaky your hand is, the longer it'll take.

It involves a little more time compared to the Smudged Tears Halloween make up because you need to draw lines for this look. Again, because it's for Halloween, the lines don't need to be perfect or straight. :D

For those of you who may have missed my previous post, look for the "Halloween Make Up" category on my main page and you'll find the post on the Smudged Tears look.

Here's another handy tip for you:
if you make a mistake with the lines or "webs", use a cotton bud dipped in make-up remover to erase the mistake. If you don't have make-up remover, use baby oil instead. Make sure the area is dry, then continue with the look.

This is another simple and fun look for Halloween, and you don't need to use/buy/make face paint. Have a go with it! :)

Halloween Make Up: Smudged Tears

Hey everyone!

Trick or treat?!?

With Halloween coming up really soon, I'll be experimenting with this theme for a few more weeks.

The look for the week is Smudged Tears. It's easy to re-create and doesn't take up much time. Set aside only 10 minutes for each eye.

If you have a function to attend for Halloween, need to dress up for an event at work, or just want a simple, fuss-free look, try this! It goes well with just about any outfit, doll-like costumes, or even sexy ones. ;)

If you're not sure what to do, check out the link at the bottom of this post. Don't worry if the make up is smudged a little because it's for Halloween - no perfect lines needed for this occasion! :D

3 weeks and counting until Halloween. Coincidentally, it's also 3 weeks and counting until my birthday - it's a day after Halloween! :D Presents from you are MORE than welcome! As a matter of fact, the MORE the BETTER!! :p

Have fun with the look and have a great weekend, everyone! :)
