Product Review: The Face Shop Face It Gradation Art Nails

I was walking about in Pavilion, KL, a couple of months ago and saw "Buy 2 Free 1" signs at The Face Shop. Naturally, I had to check it out. ;)

At The Face Shop, I buy only nail products like nail polish and nail polish remover. I don't bother about the other products because I like their nail products. During sale times, you get some pretty good deals.

So anyhow, I hovered about at the nail counter to check out their stuff. Then, I saw this interesting little box with 3 small bottles of nail polishes numbered 1, 2, and 3 on the top of the covers.

The sales assistant must have seen me gleaming and grinning like a little kid because she immediately rushed over and explained that each box contains a set of colours to be used together to achieve a "gradiant" look (ie. layered look).

They come in 5 varieties: 

01 Royal Gold
02 Steel Navy
03 Very Very Red
04 Delightful Purple
05 Holiglow

I bought two: 02 Steel Navy and 03 Very Very Red. At the time, I bought each set for RM 29.90.

Easy-to-Follow Picture Instructions on The Back of The Box

Here's my feedback on this product:

Positive

• They are pretty.
• All 3 colours in each set are very easy to apply.
• They dry fast.
• Easy-to-follow picture instructions at the back of each box. Just use the colours according to the numbers. 

Negative

• A little pricey for one set (each set costs RM 29.90, only 4 ml in each bottle).
• Difficult and time consuming to remove because the number 3 nail polish leaves a thin glittery layer on the nails.
• The colours that you see from the bottles are not as dark as they appear; when you paint your nails, they are actually lighter. Still pretty, but much lighter in shade.
• 03 Very Very Red is NOT red at all - it appears pink.

Overall, this product is average - nothing particularly fancy about the colours. However, if you like nail colours that are very easy to use and don't mind the price, check out the nearest The Face Shop outlet.
